Four departments of Chittagong University have postponed their final examinations, scheduled to be held today (August 1, 2022), due to the ongoing protests by a faction of the university's BCL unit.
The BCL activists staged the demonstration over the new Chhatra League's full committee announcement by the central organisation early today.
The four departments are International Relations, Institute of Marine Sciences, Department of Finance and Department of Physical Education and Sports Science.
CU's acting Controller of Examinations Chowdhury Amir Mohammad Mucha confirmed this to The Daily Star today (August 1, 2022).
He said that the exams were postponed since the teachers and students could not enter the campus due to the protests.
Around 12:30am today, BCL central committee announced the 376-member full committee. But before the committee announcement, a faction of BCL's group started the demonstration.
