Dhaka, Jun 7 (Just News): Finance Minister AMA Muhith is unveiling Tk 4,64,573 crore national budget for the fiscal year 2018-19.
He started placing budget around 1:00pm.
The finance minister has set a rare example by placing the 10th consecutive budget of the current government.
Earlier, the cabinet approved the national budget at a special meeting at the parliament complex.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the special meeting of the Cabinet held at the parliament complex, Parliament Secretariat sources said.
The revenue collection target for the coming fiscal year is fixed at Tk 3,43,331 crore. The revenue collection target for fiscal 2017-18 was Tk 2,93,494 crore which was revised to 2,63, 911crore.
The government proposed the GDP target for the upcoming fiscal year at 7.8 percent.
