The Cabinet is investigating a surveillance camera footage that allegedly shows Jamalpur’s Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kabir in a compromising situation with a female office assistant.
Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam on Saturday said they are aware of the matter.
“We are looking into it,” he said. “It’ll be resolved within a day or two.”
Additional Secretary Gaffar Khan said they had launched a primary investigation, examining the viral video.
“Various agencies are inquiring about the incident. An investigation committee will be formed tomorrow (Sunday),” Gaffar said.
