Rafiqul Amin, the managing director of Destiny 200 Ltd, was awarded three-year imprisonment on Tuesday in a case for misappropriating depositors’ money.
The court also fined him Tk 50lakh.
The Anti-Corruption Commission filed the case against Rafiqul and 22 others with Kalabagan police station on July 31, 2013.
Dhaka Special Judge Court-8 judge Shamim Ahmed passed the order.
After hearing the statements of five witnesses, the judge handed down the verdict.
