The Bangladesh Nationalist Party-led alliance on Wednesday urged the leaders and activists of its components to stand by the affected people, aware countrymen and providing food and treatment for the poor during the present coronavirus situation.
The alliance coordinator, Nazrul Islam Khan, also a standing committee member of BNP, urged all the political, socio-cultural and professional organisations to jointly tackle the disaster that spread worldwide pandemic.
In Bangladesh the intensity of the world pandemic has been widening gradually and the country’s overall economic activities and daily life has become standstill, said a statement of the alliance.
The statement alleged that the people were dissatisfied with the difference between the speech of government’s ministers and the reality in tackling the situation and that the government did not take appropriate initiatives in time.
