Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
He himself confirmed the matter to reporters when they reached him for comments.
Zafrullah Chowdhury had high fever on Sunday evening and decided to get tested for the coronavirus.
He was tested with the Rapid Dot Blot testing kits invented by Gonoshasthaya Kendra and the result came out positive.
Dr Zafrullah said: “I am currently in isolation at my own house.” He also said that he will go for a PCR test on Tuesday or Wednesday.
