Dhaka, Apr 22 (Just News): Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its front and associate organisations on Sunday announced 7-day programme for the jailed party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s unconditional release.
BNP would form human chain across the country on April 25.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a news briefing at the party’s central office announced the series of programmes that started from Sunday.
The programmes are bringing out protest procession of BNP Dhaka city north unit on Sunday while Dhaka city south unit would stage demonstration on Monday.
BNP would form human chain in metropolitan cities and district headquarters across the country on April 25.
The time and venue for human chain in Dhaka city would be informed later.
On April 26, Jatiyatabadi Chhatradal, BNP’s associated student wing, would stage countrywide demonstration including in Dhaka.
On April 27, prayer session would be held after Juma prayer across the country praying for Khaleda’s release and recovery of her illness.
On April 28, Jatiyatabadi Jubadal would stage countrywide demonstration while on April 29 Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebok Dal would stage countrywide demonstration.
Khaleda Zia was sentenced to five years jail in a case by a Dhaka special judge’s court on February 8 and was sent to erstwhile Dhaka Central Jail in old Dhaka.
Rizvi also announced that Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal would hold workers rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on May 1 to mark International Worker Day.
