Four persons were injured in an explosion in Dhaka's Moghbazar area this morning.
Md Shahidullah, deputy commissioner of Ramna division, said a garbage can exploded in the area in the morning.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost.
They are: Saiful Islam, 36, Tareque, 20, Md Shaheen, 30, and Abul Kalam, 25.
Shafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Ramna Police Station, said they got reports of the explosion around 10:15am and police visited the spot and found a garbage bin had exploded.
Injured Saiful Islam said he was heading towards his office in Moghbazar from his Sabujbagh residence when there was a loud explosion near a restaurant at Wireless Gate area.
"I fell on the road and saw blood oozing from different parts of the body. I do not know how the explosion took place," he said.
