A housewife and her mentally challenged child have been murdered in Natore’s Naldanga.
The body of deceased Sharmin Akter, 21, was recovered from her bedroom. The dead child Abdullah, 2, was found in a nearby ditch.
Shafiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Naldanga Police Station, told that both were strangulated to death in the wee hours of today.
Police are yet to identify a suspect.
Police are also interrogating the in-laws of the victim. He said, the victim’s husband Mahmudul Hasan works at garments factory in Dhaka.
