64 female workers return from Saudi Arabia

Sixty-four Bangladeshi female workers returned home from Saudi Arabia on Monday night following alleged abuse by their employers.

The female workers had taken shelter at immigration camp and Safe Home run by Bangladesh Embassyfollowing torture by their employers, said ShairfulHasan, programme head of Brac Migration Programme.

A flight of Emirates Airways carrying the workers landed at HazratShahjalal International Airport here around 11:20 pm.

Currently, over 3 lakh women are working in Saudi Arabia. Among them, many are returning home after falling victimstotorture or betrayal.
