Saudi Arabia deports 109 more Bangladeshi workers

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has sent back 109 more Bangladeshi workers, raising the number of deportees to a total of 1,610 in the past 16 days of January.

A flight of Saudi Airlines- SV-804 carrying the Bangladeshi workers landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 11:20 pm on Thursday, reports UNB.

Head of Brac's Migration Program Shariful Hasan said: "In 2019, a total of 24,789 Bangladeshi workers have been deported from Saudi Arabia, and almost all of them returned empty-handed.

"Brac Migration Program with the assistance of Expatriate Welfare Desk are trying to provide all sorts of emergency aids to the workers."
