Metropolitan Magistrate Md Shahidul Islam passed the order after their lawyers submitted separate petitions, seeking bail in the case.

During today's hearing, defence told the court that their clients were arrested from the Namaj-e-Janaza of the victim but they were produced before the court on April 3. Moreover, their clients had no links with the killings and that's why their bail petitions should be granted, said the defence.

While the prosecution opposed the petitions, saying that the accused were directly involved with the killings. Moreover, the case is now under investigation. So, their bail petitions should be rejected, prosecution said.

Upon hearing both the sides, the magistrate turned down the defence pleas.

Yesterday, another Dhaka court sent them to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on completion of their five-day remand in the case.
