'We were expected to announce the team by Thursday and we had a plan regarding him, however we might need to revise the team combination,’ he said.

'We considered him as our captain for the Asia Cup. Now it seems we have to think otherwise if he doesn't terminate the deal with Betwinner news.

‘Not only his captaincy his availability in any format of the Bangladesh team is in doubt,' added Nazmul.

On August 2, Shakib posted a photo on his verified Facebook page where he was spotted posing with bat, pad, gloves and outfits with the logo and official colour of Betwinner News.
