Renowned television personalities, actor Ramendu Majumdar and his wife Ferdousi Majumdar, have tested Covid-19 positive.
They are both recovering and in isolation at their Central Road home, Ramendu told Dhaka Tribune on Friday.
Ramendu and Ferdousi, two legendary figures in Bangladesh’s cultural arena are being treated under consultation of Dr Azizul Kahhar.
“Ferdousi tested positive for Covid-19 on July 18 and I tested positive on July 24,” the veteran actor said.
"We are seeking everyone's prayers for our fast recovery," said Ramendu, also president of the International Theatre Institute.
Ferdousi and Ramendu are both recipients of Ekushey Padak.
Ferdousi has also received the Independence Day Award for her contribution to acting.
