Bangladesh film actress Eka was arrested for torturing domestic help in the capital’s Rampura area Saturday evening.
Police arrested Eka from her apartment in Nijhum residential area of Rampura, said Hatirjheel police station sub-inspector Harun-or-Rashid.
Police also rescued the domestic help Hazera Begum and sent her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The police officer said that Hazera had been working in the actress’ apartment for past few months and had been enduring abuse and torture.
Police rescued her after being informed by neigbours of the actress.
