The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has fined Dhallywood star Shakib Khan Tk 1 million for illegally constructing a section at his under-constructed residential building in Dhaka’s Niketon.
A mobile court, led by RAJUK Executive Magistrate Ashraful Islam, fined the actor on Monday (Nov 18).
RAJUK Communication Officer Atiqur Rahman said: “The drive is a part of our regular monitoring.”
He said: “The actor will not have to pay the fine, if he demolishes the illegal portion of the building within a month.”
“If Shakib fails to do so, he will either have to pay the fine or serve one year in jail.”
