Oikyafront’s dialogue with AL alliance ends

Dhaka, Nov 1 (Just News): The much-hyped dialogue between the newly floated political alliance Jatiya Oikyafront and ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Gono Bhaban ends tonight.

The Oikyafront will brief the media about the discussion at Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain's residence.

The talks ended around 10:40pm.

Earlier in the evening, a 20-member delegation of Jatiya Oikyafornt led by Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain reached Gono Bhaban at around 6:30pm to sit for talks with a 23-member delegation of the 14-party alliance led by PM Hasina.

The Oikyafront today included five more names to its delegation, which earlier comprised of 16 members, and sent the newly added names to the Awami League office, said Gono Forum General Secretary Mustafa Mohsin Montu.

However, a 20-member Oikyafront delegation will sit for the dialogue with the AL-led 14-party alliance at Gono Bhaban, he added.

AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader, its senior leaders Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Matia Chowdhury, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Huq Inu, JSD-faction leader Mainuddin Khan Badal, and Sammobadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua are, among others, on the 23-member delegation of the ruling alliance.
The Oikyafront delegation includes BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rab, Nagorik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna and Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, among others.
